BIOS Settings Guide

If you do not configure the BIOS settings, the hardware ban may not be removed.

Pre-Setup Checklist

  • [ ] Confirm your motherboard manufacturer
  • [ ] Know your BIOS entry key

Select your motherboard below.

Asus BIOS Settings

  1. Enter BIOS Repeatedly press F2 or Del as soon as you power on the PC. The BIOS (UEFI) setup screen will open.

  2. Disable TPM TPM may appear as PTT or fTPM in ASUS BIOS.

  3. Go to the Advanced tab in the top menu
  4. Select PCH-FW Configuration or AMD fTPM configuration

  5. Change PTT or fTPM to Disabled

  6. Disable Secure Boot

  7. Select the Boot tab in the top menu
  8. Enter the Secure Boot menu
  9. Change OS Type to Other OS
  10. (Or change Secure Boot Control to Disabled)
  11. Press F10 to save and reboot

GIGABYTE BIOS Settings

  1. Enter BIOS Repeatedly press Del as soon as you power on the PC. The BIOS (UEFI) setup screen will open.

  2. Disable TPM TPM may appear as Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT) or AMD CPU fTPM in GIGABYTE BIOS.

  3. Go to the Settings or Peripherals tab in the top menu
  4. Change Intel Platform Trust Technology (Intel CPU) or

  5. AMD CPU fTPM (AMD CPU) to Disabled

  6. Disable Secure Boot

  7. Select the Boot tab in the top menu
  8. Enter the Secure Boot menu
  9. Change Secure Boot to Disabled
  10. (Or change OS Type to Other OS)
  11. Press F10 to save and reboot

MSI BIOS Settings

  1. Enter BIOS Repeatedly press Del as soon as you power on the PC. The BIOS (UEFI) setup screen will open.

  2. Disable TPM TPM may appear as Security Device Support or AMD fTPM switch in MSI BIOS.

  3. Go to Settings → Security tab in the top menu
  4. Change Security Device Support (Intel CPU) or

  5. AMD fTPM switch (AMD CPU) to Disabled

  6. Disable Secure Boot

  7. Go to Settings → Advanced → Windows OS Configuration in the top menu
  8. Change Secure Boot to Disabled
  9. (Or change OS Type to Other OS)
  10. Press F10 to save and reboot

ASRock BIOS Settings

  1. Enter BIOS Repeatedly press F2 or Del as soon as you power on the PC. The BIOS (UEFI) setup screen will open.

  2. Disable TPM TPM may appear as Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT) or AMD fTPM in ASRock BIOS.

  3. Go to the Advanced tab → CPU Configuration or
  4. AMD fTPM Switch in the top menu

  5. Change Intel PTT (Intel CPU) or AMD fTPM (AMD CPU) to Disabled

  6. Disable Secure Boot

  7. Select the Security or Boot tab in the top menu
  8. Enter the Secure Boot menu
  9. Change Secure Boot to Disabled
  10. (Or change OS Type to Other OS)
  11. Press F10 to save and reboot

Biostar BIOS Settings

  1. Enter BIOS Repeatedly press Del as soon as you power on the PC. The BIOS (UEFI) setup screen will open.

  2. Disable TPM TPM may appear as Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT) or AMD CPU fTPM in Biostar BIOS.

  3. Go to the Advanced or Security tab in the top menu

  4. Change Intel PTT (Intel CPU) or AMD fTPM (AMD CPU) to Disabled

  5. Disable Secure Boot

  6. Select the Boot tab in the top menu
  7. Enter the Secure Boot menu
  8. Change Secure Boot to Disabled
  9. (Or change OS Type to Other OS)
  10. Press F10 to save and reboot

Completion Checklist

  • [ ] TPM disabled
  • [ ] Secure Boot disabled
  • [ ] Saved with F10 and rebooted
